FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Flyk gets local service businesses ready for AI agents, with or without a website
Built on open protocols, Flyk gives coaches, cleaners, tutors and other service businesses one accurate, owner-controlled presence for the people and the AI agents asking about them, and works with the tools they already use.
SAN RAMON, Calif., October 14, 2026 — FLYK, INC. today opened private early access to Flyk, infrastructure that lets local service businesses answer customers and AI agents in their own words, from their own record, whether or not they have a website.
More people now ask AI assistants and agents where to get a haircut, find a tutor or book a plumber. Many local businesses aren't ready for that. Their hours, prices and services live in a phone, a notebook or the owner's head, and many have no website at all. Flyk turns what the owner already knows into a structured business record. It's infrastructure for the business, not another marketplace: AI agents read the record through open protocols, and customers reach it in a conversation.
With or without a website. If a business has a website, Flyk reads it and has a first draft of its services, hours and prices ready in about a minute, for the owner to review. If it doesn't, and about a third of small businesses with no employees have no website at all (NFIB Small Business and Technology survey, 2025), the owner can set up Flyk in a short chat or call, in English or Spanish, or in the Flyk Business app. Either way, Flyk reads the answers back and saves them only when the owner says yes.
Works with the tools businesses already use. Flyk can connect to common calendar and booking tools that service businesses already run on, so owners don't have to switch: where it's connected, Flyk works through the system they have. Owners can also connect their own tools, for marketing, notes, payments and more, through MCP, UTCP or direct APIs, either from Flyk's catalog in one click or by bringing their own. As more of those tools open up to agents and become headless, so the business logic is reachable directly rather than only through a website, Flyk's integrations grow with them.
The same answers on every channel. Flyk answers on every channel: a business's Flyk page, a chat window on its own website, text messages, WhatsApp and phone calls. Customers get the same accurate answer however they reach out. Flyk answers only from the business's record. When it doesn't know something, it says so and points the customer to the business.
Ready for the AI assistants people use. Each business is published as a signed agent card, and Flyk supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and the Universal Tool Calling Protocol (UTCP). On top of that, Flyk gives builders ready-made ways in:
- Custom GPTs in ChatGPT, using GPT Actions with Flyk's OpenAPI specification;
- Claude, through Flyk's MCP server, so owners can work with their business directly from inside Claude, and developers can build on Flyk's discovery and booking tools;
- Alexa skills, through a ready skill backend;
- Siri Shortcuts, with results spoken back.
Today, AI assistants reach Flyk businesses through connections builders set up with these tools; Flyk does not control what any assistant shows by default.
Where a business uses Flyk scheduling, customers can book directly. Otherwise Flyk hands them to the business's own booking link, or sends a request the owner confirms.
More than booking: a business's whole AI presence. Flyk answers customers' questions from the owner's record; passes on what it can't answer and brings the owner's reply back to the customer; keeps the business's client records and conversations in one place; handles follow-ups, reminders and a daily digest for the owner; translates between owner and customer, each in their own language; takes bookings and booking requests; and keeps a signed, portable record of the business's reputation. Customers paying through Flyk at checkout is next; owners can already connect their own payment account.
The owner stays in charge. Owners update their business by text, call, app or Claude. Every change is read back and confirmed, and the owner's own words are the source of truth.
“A cleaner or a tutor shouldn't need a website, or a web team, to be ready for how people now ask for help,” said Amit A., founder of FLYK, INC. “With Flyk, an owner tells us about their business once, by text, by call or from their website, hears it read back, says yes, and from then on customers and the AI assistants they use get the owner's own answers.”
What's next. Flyk plans to publish its protocol specifications, along with a federated registry, deeper integrations with the booking and business tools owners already use as they open up to AI agents, and a developer platform for building on top of a business's Flyk record, ahead of general availability, planned for early 2027. Plans described here may change.
How Flyk makes money. Getting started with Flyk is free. Businesses that want Flyk answering customers and handling requests for them every day subscribe monthly. Pricing will be shared closer to general availability.
Who Flyk is looking for. Flyk is inviting service business owners, with or without a website, into private early access, and is talking with builders of AI agents and assistants who want accurate, owner-confirmed local business data. Flyk is available today in private early access for service businesses in the United States, with general availability planned for early 2027. Owners can request an invitation at flyk.app; builders can write to together@flyk.app.
